Citi Field features 12 official parking lots that serve the stadium. Baseball fans and other visitors to the stadium can purchase “preferred parking” passes online ahead of time, giving them access to the best lots available. Parking spots can also be purchased on the day of event upon drive-up with either cash or credit card, though these general parking lots are further away. Preferred Parking Passes are available to Mets season ticket holders first, but any remaining passes are open to the general public and can be purchased ahead of time on the Mets website.
General Parking General Parking can be paid for upon arrival with cash or credit card. General parking costs $25 for regular season baseball games. Prices are subject to change for post season baseball games and special events. Postseason and special event prices are $40 per car and $90 for oversized vehicles/ buses, respectively.

Citi Field Parking Tips
Get the Commuter Rate If you have more than a few hours to kill before the game, you can save a bunch of money by parking early in the Southfield Commuter Lot. Parking in this lot costs only $5 if you arrive early enough to get the commuter rate. From the Met’s site: For weekday games starting at 12 noon, the $5.00 rate will be in effect until 8AM. For weekday games starting at 1:10PM the $5.00 rate will be in effect until 9AM. For weekday night games the $5.00 rate will be in effect until 12 noon. After the $5.00 rate expires at the respective time for each game the Citi Field event rate will be in effect.

There are many options for public transportation, but there are many options for parking as well. The Port Authority bus goes to Citi Field, and many other buses go to the 7 subway train, which will stop at Mets – Willets Point Station.
Handicap Parking
There are over 350 accessible parking spots located in lots A, B, and F which are available to any fan displaying a valid accessible parking pass who has also paid for parking. Accessible parking is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Tailgating Info
Tailgating is permitted only under the following conditions:
- There may be no open flames of any kind
- Only one parking space may be used.
- Consumption of alcohol is prohibited
- Inappropriate or dangerous behavior is not allowed
- For security reasons, no trash bins are located in Citi Field parking lots. Guests should bag trash for pick up after the event
Failure to comply with any of the above conditions may result in a fan’s removal from the parking lots and/or summoning of NYPD. Officers are known to monitor the parking lots for violations of these rules. Because alcohol consumption at Citi Field is prohibited, many tailgaters stop by McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon at the northeast corner of the stadium for a drink before the game.
