Best PNC Park Parking Options
Fans headed to PNC Park should heed one cardinal rule: if you’re driving in from the north of the stadium, park on the North Shore. If you’re coming from the west, south, or east, park across the Allegheny River in downtown Pittsburgh and walk across the Clemente bridge to the park. The North Shore features the Pirate’s official parking options, including Gold Lots 1-4, and Red Lots 5, 6, and 7. Most of the North Shore parking facilities are operated by Alco Parking.
Downtown Pittsburgh parking tends to be a bit cheaper than the North Shore options. Fans headed to PNC Park can easily hop on the “T” train service and ride it to the stadium for free! Check out a few recommended parking options in both locations in the sections below.

Tailgating at PNC Park
- For all North Shore parking options, all locations open 4 hours prior to game time. Tailgating is permitted at select lots.
- No tents are permitted.
- No fires other than cooking grills are permitted. Grills are NOT permitted in any garages.
- No personal or private toilets or port-a-johns are permitted.
- Alcohol is permitted, but no sale of alcohol is permitted.
- Tailgating is to be contained to paid space only. Tailgating and other activities cannot restrict access to the aisles.

The West Busway
Park at Carnegie, Bell, Crafton, or Sheradon Park-and-Ride stations, then take the “33x West Busway – All Stops” bus to downtown. From there, you can walk to the ballpark across the Clemente Bridge.
The “T”
Fans coming to PNC Park are able to take advantage of the free Light Rail Transit (or “T”) service. Park along any T station, and get free service to and from the ballpark!
“T” Service is provided from:
- Weekdays from 5:06am to 12:44am
- Saturdays from 5:41am to 12:48am
- Sundays from 5:41am to 11:18pm
